The Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport, is the main airport of the Netherlands. It is located south of Amsterdam, in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. Schiphol is one of the most important European airports for passenger traffic as well as cargo.

Transportation to/from the airport
Train
Schiphol station is situated directly below the airport. Important railway hubs include Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Duivendrecht. The night trains travel once an hour between Utrecht CS - Amsterdam CS - Schiphol - Leiden CS - Den Haag CS - Delft and Rotterdam CS and vice versa. 
 
Intercity direct
With Intercity direct, the Amsterdam Airport City Centre Train you can travel between Schiphol, Amsterdam CS, Rotterdam CS and Breda. 
 
International destinations with: the Thalys, ICE International, CityNightLine and Eurostar. 
 
Bus
Airport Schiphol has an extensive network of direct bus lines connecting it to Amsterdam and the surrounding towns and cities. 
 
Amsterdam City Centre:  line 197/Amsterdam Airport Express departs every 15 minutes to the city centre of Amsterdam and viceversa.

Through A4 in 22 minutes to 17,9 Km.

Is possible to take a taxi from Amsterdam to the Airport and vice versa. Taxis at the airport are located in front of the departure hall.
