Chocolate House in Lounge 1 at Schiphol
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol continues to enhance its retail offering with the opening of Chocolate House, the new 75 m² store opened in Lounge 1 in collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail. The boutique marks a further step in the renovation project of the area, now expanded and enriched by new concepts designed to raise the comfort and quality of the Travellers' experience.
Chocolate House offers a complete selection of the most popular international brands, including Lindt, Leonidas and Godiva, flanked by an eye-catching showcase dedicated to Dutch chocolatiers such as Visser Chocolate, De Bonte Koe and MADAQ.
Making the offer even more exclusive is the Pierre Hermé corner, the first in the Netherlands, where passengers can buy iconic macarons and chocolates from the French master pastry chef.
The environment is designed to involve travellers in a sensory journey: at the centre of the space, an imposing chocolate windmill celebrates the artisan tradition of the Netherlands and becomes the visual hub of the store.
The opening is part of the broader redevelopment plan of Lounge 1, which has increased from 19,000 to 24,000 m² with the introduction of 23 new retail and catering concepts. A strategic restyling that aims to transform the passage through the airport into a richer and more pleasant experience, with spaces that enhance quality, creativity and local identity.
