The Wanderer: the new restaurant and cocktail bar at Schiphol
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol continues to innovate, offering passengers increasingly immersive experiences even before the flight. The latest novelty is called The Wanderer, a refined restaurant and cocktail bar opened in Lounge 1, which promises to transform the simple wait at the airport into a moment of pleasure, relaxation and discovery.
With its 240 seats, The Wanderer is a welcoming and dynamic environment, designed to evoke the spirit of travel right from the design: warm colors, natural materials and contemporary furnishings create an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for taking a break between flights.
The concept is the result of the collaboration between Schiphol and Avolta, an international group specialising in airport catering, with the aim of offering Travellers a place where taste and atmosphere meet. The menu offers a selection of international dishes inspired by cuisines from all over the world: from light proposals ideal for those in a hurry, to more elaborate dishes for those who want to indulge in a moment of authentic gastronomic pleasure.
To make the experience even more exclusive, a drink list of signature cocktails and a selection of wines and spirits from different countries. Mixology thus becomes an integral part of the journey, with signature drinks that tell different flavors and cultures. During the day, The Wanderer welcomes those looking for a comfortable place to have lunch or work in peace; in the evening, however, it turns into a vibrant cocktail bar animated by DJ sets and live music, which give the environment a cosmopolitan and sophisticated atmosphere.
