Turin
Turin-Caselle "Sandro Pertini" Airport is managed by SAGAT S.p.A. and is situated 16 km from Turin in the municipalities of Caselle Torinese, San Francesco al Campo and San Maurizio Canavese.
Over the years, the airport, which was inaugurated in 1953, has been expanded many times. In 2005, it underwent significant restyling work for the XX Winter Olympic Games and was enlarged to handle the larger amount of air traffic.

In addition, a new air terminal devoted to general aviation was built and the airport buildings were extended. Today’s terminal occupies a covered area of over 57,000 square metres on three levels. In 2012 it became the first airport in the world to achieve the TÜV-Italia certification for its Energy Management System, thereby promoting the development of a policy oriented towards energy savings. Scheduled flights depart from the airport to both domestic and international destinations.
