Turin-Istanbul, two years of Turkish Airlines flights
Turkish Airlines celebrates the second birthday of the daily direct connection between Turin and Istanbul. Launched on 10 July 2024, the route proved to be one of the most solid grafts in the carrier's Italian network, with over 160,000 passengers transported and a growth of 13% compared to the first year of operation.
37% of travellers arrive in Turin from abroad: an incoming flow that supports tourism and generates direct economic effects on the city and the Piedmontese territory.
Italy's ninth gateway to the world
With Turin, the number of Italian cities connected by Turkish Airlines rises to nine, along with Milan, Rome, Venice, Bologna, Naples, Catania, Palermo and Bari. For Piedmontese passengers, it means direct access to the Istanbul hub and, from there, to destinations on six continents, without having to transit through other Italian airports. The addition of Turin confirms the Turkish flag carrier's strategy to ensure a widespread presence on the national territory, supporting tourism, cultural exchanges and economic relations between Italy and Turkey.
