Cairo International Airport is located in Heliopolis, 22 km northeast of Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and 40 km from the Pyramids of Giza. Cairo Airport has four terminals. Terminal 3, opened in 2009, is the largest and is intended for domestic flights. The Terminal for seasonal flights was opened in 2011.
The airport offers all services for departing, arriving and transit passengers, including VIP lounges, VIP services for business passengers, shops, duty free, bars and restaurants. The airport has also set up permanent exhibitions dedicated to the culture and art of ancient Egypt and you can visit the Cairo International Airport Museum in Terminal 2 and also in Terminal 3.

Transportation to/from the Cairo airport
Shuttle - Mini Metro (Automated People Mover)

The train offers a free airport service for transit passengers to use inside the airport to connect from TB1 (Terminal 1), Air Mall, Parking, TB2 (Terminal 2), up to TB3 (Terminal 3) in 5 minutes.



Bus to Cairo and other destinations. Departures are from the bus station which is located in the parking lot in front of Terminal 1. Intercity buses leave from the bus station located between the terminals.



Cairo International Airport is located in the North-East of Cairo, the Capital of Egypt. The airport is located in Heliopolis, 22km northeast of central Cairo and 40km from the Giza Pyramids. The airport can be reached from Cairo city center, across the 6th October Bridge, via Salah Salem road, which leads to Heliopolis. The airport and Heliopolis are well signposted from the city center. The airport can be reached via the new road, connection Terminal 3 with the intersection between Ring Road and Suez Road.



Free taxi drivers are in the arrival hall. A few of the new City Cabs (yellow taxis) may also be found.

The closest hotel to Cairo airport is the luxurious five-star hotel Le Meridien Cairo Airport which opened in 2013 right in front of Terminal 3, directly connected to the terminal by a walkway.
