New flight Venice - Cairo
Egyptair announces the opening of the new Venice - Cairo route, a strategic connection that enriches the intercontinental offer of Marco Polo Airport and strengthens relations between Italy and Egypt. The new direct flight will be operational from 29 June 2026, with two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays. The connections will be operated with new generation Boeing and Airbus aircraft, arriving in the coming months, confirming the carrier's commitment to a more modern, efficient and sustainable fleet.
Venice and Cairo: a strategic link
The choice of Venice responds to the strategic importance of the Italian North-East, an area with a high tourist and entrepreneurial vocation. The new direct flight creates a bridge between two symbolic cities: Venice, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic destination for international tourism, and Cairo, a dynamic capital and gateway to the wonders of ancient Egypt.
Thanks to the Cairo hub, passengers departing from Marco Polo will also be able to benefit from numerous connections to Africa, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent, expanding travel opportunities for both leisure tourism and business and VFR (visit friends and relatives) traffic.
Egyptair in Italy
Active in Italy for over 60 years, Egyptair already connects Rome (Fiumicino) and Milan (Malpensa) with Cairo and Milan Malpensa with Luxor, with a dense network of weekly flights. The new direct flight from Venice further expands the offer, making Egypt and its destinations increasingly accessible even from the North East of Italy.
