Air Cairo strengthens Italy-Egypt flights
Air Cairo confirms its key role in flights between Italy and Egypt again in 2026 and participates in the BIT - International Tourism Exchange flanked by the GSA for Italy 'Non Solo Sogni', presenting the new programming for the main Egyptian destinations and confirming Italy as one of the strategic markets for the development of its network.
Summer 2026: new routes and more connections
In view of the upcoming summer season, Air Cairo aims to further strengthen its offer from Italy, with more frequent air connections and the introduction of a new destination. The main novelty is the entry of El Alamein into the summer schedule, with two weekly flights from Milan and Catania, operating from June to mid-September, to one of the emerging locations of Egyptian tourism.
Overall, for 2026 Air Cairo will operate around 1,500 regular flights from Italy to Egypt, reaching iconic destinations such as Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Cairo.

- Milan Malpensa (MXP): 20 flights (El Alamein, Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor, Cairo),
- Rome Fiumicino (FCO): 4 flights (Sharm el Sheikh, Luxor),
- Naples (NAP): 5 flights (Sharm el Sheikh),
- Bari (BRI): 3 flights (Sharm el Sheikh),
- Catania (CTA): 2 flights (Sharm el Sheikh),
- Bologna (BLQ): 2 flights (Sharm el Sheikh),
- Bergamo (BGY): 2 flights (Sharm el Sheikh),
- Verona (VRN): 2 flights (Luxor).
Air Cairo Fleet
Currently, Air Cairo operates a fleet of 40 aircraft, mainly consisting of new generation aircraft: 31 Airbus A320neo (dedicated to medium-haul); 3 Embraer E190 (ideal for shorter routes); 6 ATR 72-600 (for regional connections).
Air Cairo is present at BIT from 10 to 12 February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, Hall 9P-Stand L02. Anticipating the event, Hussein Sherif, Chairman of Air Cairo, said: "El Alamein and the consolidation of flights from Italy to Egypt represent only the beginning of a development strategy that we will continue to pursue with determination".
