Volotea's Verona-Comiso connection takes off

Available from 27 March with two weekly frequencies, every Tuesday and Friday, until the end of October

The direct Volotea flight to Comiso starts again tomorrow from Verona's Valerio Catullo Airport, marking the return of the route between the Verona airport and south-eastern Sicily for the 2026 summer season. The flight will be operated twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday, until the end of October.

Comiso is a strategic entry point for eastern Sicily, ideal for reaching Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and the Baroque UNESCO World Heritage area of Sicily. With this reactivation, the number of Sicilian destinations connected by Volotea from Verona rises to five, strengthening the leisure offer to Southern Italy.

However, 2026 marks a further phase of expansion for Volotea at Verona airport. At the end of April, the connection to Aalborg (Denmark) will debut, while in August the new routes to Karpathos, Athens, Menorca and Malaga will start. In the same period, an increase in frequencies is also planned for Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Olbia and Palermo, with a targeted enhancement in the central months of summer.

Overall, in 2026 Volotea will serve 21 destinations from Verona:

  • 8 in Italy (Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Comiso - new for 2026, Lampedusa, Olbia, Palermo, Pantelleria),
  • 1 in Czech Republic (Prague),
  • 1 in Denmark (Aalborg),
  • 1 in France (Paris Orly),
  • 4 in Greece (Athens - novelty 2026, Heraklion, Karpathos - novelty 2026, Zakynthos)
  • 6 in Spain (Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Menorca - new 2026, Malaga - new 2026, Seville).
