Wizz Air connects Cagliari with Milan Malpensa and Venice
Wizz Air expands its presence in Sardinia and starts operations at Cagliari Airport. From 14 December 2026, the company will connect the Sardinian capital with Milan Malpensa and Venice Marco Polo, strengthening the offer of domestic flights during the winter season. Tickets are already available.
The new flights from Cagliari
The route between Cagliari and Milan Malpensa will be operated daily with two daily frequencies, offering greater flexibility for those traveling for business, tourism or to reach friends and family.
The connection with Venice will instead have a daily frequency. Both routes will start on December 14.
With the entry into Cagliari, Wizz Air will be present in the three main Sardinian airports, adding the new airport to the operations already active in Alghero and Olbia.
The network in Sardinia is growing
The company has been operating on the island since 2013 and has expanded its network with several destinations.
- From Alghero , flights are available to Belgrade, Bucharest, Budapest, Skopje, Sofia, Tirana, Warsaw and Venice.
- From Olbia, the company flies to Milan Malpensa, Rome Ciampino and Warsaw Chopin.
More options for those traveling from the island
The new routes from Cagliari Airport expand direct flights between Sardinia and Northern Italy even in the winter months. Milan Malpensa also allows access to a wide national and international network, while the flight to Venice facilitates travel to the North-East.
