ITA Airways codeshare flights with Lufthansa Group airlines
Flights with Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air Dolomiti are on sale, to travel to over 100 destinations from 30 March, departing from Fiumicino or Linate
ITA Airways has announced the start of the sale of codeshare flights with five Lufthansa Group airlines: Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Air Dolomiti. Starting March 30, passengers will be able to travel with a single flight ticket, checking in at the departure airport and collecting their baggage directly at their final destination.
Destinations reachable with the codeshare agreement between ITA Airways and Lufthansa
►Thanks to this collaboration, ITA Airways customers will be able to access over 100 new destinations as early as next summer. Passengers of Lufthansa airlines will be able to reach the most beautiful Italian destinations with ITA Airways, including Sicily, Sardinia, Calabria and Puglia, as well as destinations such as Brindisi, Florence, Milan Linate, Palermo, Turin, Venice, and international destinations such as Tirana, Sofia, Malta and Athens, through the hubs of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate.
► Similarly, ITA Airways passengers will be able to fly with the AZ code on flights operated by Lufthansa from Frankfurt and Munich, reaching numerous Italian cities (Verona, Cagliari, Olbia, Bologna, Catania, Naples, Venice, Turin) and international cities such as Prague, Dublin and Krakow.
►With SWISS, ITA Airways passengers will have access from Zurich to major Italian cities and European destinations such as Warsaw, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
►The agreement with Austrian Airlines will instead allow flights from Vienna airport to Italian cities (Rome, Cagliari, Naples, Palermo, Bari, Milan Malpensa and Florence) and to European destinations such as Innsbruck, Warsaw, Podgorica, Chisinau and Varna.
►Thanks to Brussels Airlines, it will be possible to reach Milan Malpensa, Venice and Bologna from Brussels.
► Air Dolomiti will offer connections from Munich and Frankfurt to several Italian cities such as Venice, Florence, Turin, Milan Linate and Malpensa, Verona, Bologna and Cagliari.
Frequent flyer benefits
In addition to the convenience of a single flight ticket and baggage claim at the final destination, members of ITA Airways ' Volare program will be able to earn and spend points on flights operated by Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines. In addition, thanks to an exclusive promotion valid from March 1 to April 15, 2025, they will be able to earn extra points on codeshare flights.
The 36 million members of Miles & More, the loyalty programme of the Lufthansa Group, will also be able to earn and redeem points on all ITA Airways flights.
