The Loft by Brussels Airlines best airline lounge in Europe
At the World Travel Awards 2025, held in Cagliari, THE LOFT by Brussels Airlines and Lexus was once again elected "Europe's Leading Airline Lounge", confirming itself for the seventh consecutive year as the best airline lounge in Europe.
The recognition comes on the eve of a complete renovation of the spaces, which will close on January 1, 2026 to make way for a completely new project, whose inauguration is scheduled for the end of summer 2026.
Opened in 2014 at Brussels Airport, with a total area of 1,240 m², it offered a capacity of 300 seats at the time. In the first four years, THE LOFT welcomed over 1,500 passengers per day.
In 2018, Brussels Airlines partnered with Lexus to create an inspiring space with the highest standards of hospitality. The lounge has been expanded by 800 m² to accommodate up to 500 guests, with an open floor plan displaying Lexus Design Award-winning objects, allowing guests to discover the brand's luxury lifestyle.
The lounge stood out for its elegant design and Japanese-inspired hospitality, with open-plan environments, designer furnishings and a multi-sensory experience that reflects the values of Omotenashi, the art of hospitality.
The new lounge was an immediate success: in 2019, THE LOFT by Brussels Airlines and Lexus were crowned "Europe's Leading Airlines Lounge" at the World Travel Awards. From then on, the lounge has continued to win the award year after year.
THE LOFT by Brussels Airlines and Lexus will close on January 1, 2026. The 2,040 m² will be completely redesigned to offer Premium Travellers an even more prestigious lounge in the future. The new lounge is scheduled to open in late summer 2026. Further details on the new lounge concept and temporary solutions for premium passengers will be announced by Brussels Airlines in the near future.
