Emirates' new lounge at Manchester Airport
Emirates has opened its new lounge at Manchester Airport, in Terminal 2, introducing the airline's latest premium concept to the UK for the first time. The £10 million investment aims to integrate comfort, dining, technology and wellness services into a space designed to accompany passengers to boarding.
The lounge is organized into areas dedicated to relaxation, work, socializing and dining, with seats equipped with wireless charging and universal sockets. Facilities also include renovated showers with VOYA products, a relaxation area with soft lighting, private spaces and prayer rooms.
One of the distinguishing features is direct boarding from the lounge to the aircraft, which Emirates describes as the only service of its kind at Manchester Airport (MAN).
Local cuisine and international proposal
The catering has been developed around an open kitchen and an offer that combines international specialties with a "Made in Manchester" menu.
Dishes include marinated prawns and Fleetwood sea bream, Wigan meat and potato pie, smoked trout from Lancashire and cheeses from Cheshire. Rounding out the offerings are a bar with bartender service, cocktails and mocktails inspired by local tradition, wines, beers, spirits and Moët & Chandon champagne.
Who can access the Emirates lounge in Manchester
The lounge is open up to four hours before departure and is accessible free of charge to First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, even when travelling in Premium Economy or Economy Class. Other Emirates customers can purchase lounge access.
Emirates currently operates three daily flights between Manchester and Dubai, connecting the North of England with its hub and the airline's international network of destinations.
