New award for the Star Alliance Lounge at Paris CDG

At the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026, the Paris lounge takes first place for the third year in a row, while the Los Angeles lounge ranks second

The Star Alliance Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has again been awarded the best airline alliance lounge in the world at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026, gaining recognition for the third year in a row. The Skytrax World Airline Awards are awarded on the basis of an independent international passenger survey and are dedicated to evaluating the experience offered by airlines and airport services.

In the same category, the Star Alliance Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport took second place, thus bringing two alliance lounges to the top of the 2026 rankings.

The Star Alliance Lounge in Paris is located in Terminal 1 of Charles de Gaulle and has been operational since October 2023. With an area of approximately 1,300 square meters, it offers different areas dedicated to relaxation, work and pre-flight dining. Distinctive elements include a welcome bar, a wine area inspired by the French winemaking tradition and spaces overlooking the airport runways. The concept combines a contemporary setting with references to French design and culture.

According to Star Alliance, the result reflects the work being done to make the experience of passengers traveling with multiple airlines belonging to the same network easier and more consistent, especially in major international hubs.

Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) currently operates 21 Star Alliance member airlines, including ITA Airways, Lufthansa, United Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Air Canada, ANA and SWISS. In total, they operate over 800 weekly flights to more than 30 destinations in over 20 countries.
