Christmas at Heathrow: multilingual carols and surprises
Multilingual choir and personalized surprises to make the arrival of passengers during the holidays magical
Heathrow Airport is transformed into a place of celebration and hospitality for the holiday season, surprising passengers with a unique experience. This year, a live choir welcomes travelers to Terminal 5 with traditional songs and greetings in several languages, reflecting the international spirit of the British hub. Northants Sings Out Choir, known for their participation in Britain's Got Talent, performs in all terminals throughout the month of December.

In addition to Christmas classics such as Jingle Bells and Silent Night, the choir adds a unique touch to its performances by singing greetings in languages such as Arabic, French, Mandarin and Spanish, which are among the most widely spoken in the countries connected by Heathrow. Passengers can also request personalized performances to give a special welcome to their loved ones on arrival.

With over 500 "Here to Help" team members and 70 volunteers spread across the terminals, the airport ensures a stress-free experience during one of the busiest times of the year. The multilingual guide offered to travelers on how to wish "Happy Holidays" further enriches the overall experience.
Heathrow expects a flow of 7 million passengers during the month of December, with a peak of 170,000 travellers expected on Christmas Day alone, marking a 21% increase on the previous year.

"Seeing loved ones at arrivals is a magical moment, made even more special by our Christmas initiative," said Lee Boyle, Head of Services at Heathrow. "Our goal is to create unforgettable memories for every passenger and bring a touch of joy and warmth to the holidays."
