The schools protagonists of Volotea's educational project

25,000 students in six regions were involved, combining geography, creativity and the culture of flying. The 5th A in Baseggio (Ve) wins, while the airline strengthens its ties with Venice, its strategic base in Italy

With the end of the school year, "Tutti a Bordo!", the educational project promoted by Volotea in collaboration with Neways, dedicated to primary school students, also came to an end. The initiative brought to the classroom a new, playful and interactive way of doing geography, discovering Italy and getting to know the fascinating world of aviation up close.

There were 1,000 classes participating, for a total of 25,000 pupils and over 1,000 teachers and school principals distributed in Veneto, Tuscany, Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia. The journey ended with a creative competition, "The magnificent traveller's billboard", which saw the children imagine and represent an ideal itinerary between Italian regions.

The winner was class 5A of the Comprehensive "Baseggio" of Marghera (VE) with the work "Italy, a work of art": a three-dimensional collage that tells the story of the Bel Paese as a gallery of small masterpieces. For them, a Volotea travel voucher and a stationery kit for the entire class.

The project is part of a broader vision that sees Volotea actively engaged in the enhancement of Italy's artistic and cultural heritage. The company has in fact supported numerous restoration interventions over time, such as the Sansovinian balcony of the Doge's Palace in Venice, the curtain of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and the restoration of the sketches of the Gypsotheca in Possagno with the #Volotea4Veneto initiative.

A solid bond with Venice

In 2025, Volotea consolidates its presence in Venice, the city where it all began in 2012 with the first flight and the first operational base. Today, Marco Polo is one of the main hubs of the Volotea network, with over 3,555 flights and 624,000 seats on sale.

The company will serve 21 destinations from Venice:
