Riva Volare: the sky dresses Riva
When elegance meets speed and design becomes experience, Riva Volare is born, the new collaboration between Flexjet, global leader in private aviation, and the prestigious Ferretti Group, the Italianluxury fashion house. Officially presented at Milan Prime Linate airport (in the hangar built for Sirio, a subsidiary of Flexjet), the project brings the unmistakable Riva style inside a Gulfstream G650 and two Sikorsky S-76 helicopters from the Flexjet fleet.
A sartorial interpretation of the interiors, inspired by the legendary Aquarama and Aquariva motorboats, which translates craftsmanship excellence and Italian taste into a new dimension of private flying.
The Riva Volare design has been applied to one of the world's most iconic ultra-long-range jets , the Gulfstream G650 (up to 16 hours of autonomy), and in the interiors of two Flexjet Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, one in Florida and the other in a new service area based in Milan, serving Italy and the French Riviera: an expansion of the company's helicopter division in continental Europe, adding to its current rotating operations in London, New York, Florida and the Bahamas. The new service area will meet growing demand from the company's current jet owners and new customers for helicopter flights in Italy and the South of France during the summer months, with Ferretti Group customers benefiting from preferential access.
Every element of Riva Volare's design, from the colour palette to the tactile materials, has been carefully studied to evoke Riva's timeless stylistic features, with contrasts between light and dark, chromatic details and luxurious textures of leathers and metals. A careful selection of Riva glasses, porcelain and cutlery will be the protagonist of the hospitality experience on board the Gulfstream G650, expertly presented by cabin waiters trained by Flexjet's Red Label Academy. Handcrafted materials and bold patterns, textures and colors are inspired by the classic silhouettes and recognizable design elements of Riva's beloved motoryachts, blending details of the iconic Aquarama from the 60s with the contemporary elegance of the Aquariva.
Riva Volare, part of Flexjet's customized, boutique-style LXi Cabin Collection™ range, is available aboard one of Gulfstream G650's ultra-long-range jets, a leader in private aviation, which can accommodate up to 12-15 passengers and fly for up to 14-16 hours, connecting New York and Tokyo, London, Singapore or Milan.
