The 200th Challenger 3500 goes to Piero Ferrari
Bombardier has delivered the 200th Challenger 3500 to Piero Ferrari, vice president of Ferrari. The business jet will be used for travel during Formula 1 races and for other work commitments, offering operational autonomy, comfort and flexibility in connections.
The delivery represents a significant achievement for the Challenger 3500 program, which entered service less than four years ago and quickly established itself in the super-midsize jet segment. Since its first full year of deliveries in 2023, the model has outperformed other business jets in the mid-range and heavy-duty categories in volume.
Low performance and operating costs
The Challenger 3500 has been designed to combine performance, versatility and efficiency. According to Bombardier, it has the lowest direct operating costs in its class, which is particularly relevant for private customers and fleet operators who use the aircraft frequently. The commercial success is also confirmed by the orders and agreements signed with some of the main international operators, including BOND, NetJets and VistaJet.
A cab designed for comfort
The cabin introduces several distinctive solutions, including the cab voice control system and Nuage seats, initially developed for the Global 7500. The interior is designed to provide comfort during the flight and allow passengers to work, rest or continue their activities while on the move.
The Challenger 3500 also has an Environmental Product Declaration, a document that analyzes the impact of the aircraft throughout its life cycle. Bombardier has extended this type of declaration to all models currently in production.
With the delivery to Piero Ferrari, the Canadian manufacturer thus unites two companies united by the attention to performance, innovation, design and construction quality, while consolidating the position of the Challenger 3500 in the international business aviation market.
