Trapani

Located half way between Marsala and Trapani, "Vincenzo Florio" Airport Trapani-Birgi is the main gateway to western Sicily and the airport of reference for the entire province of Trapani.
 
Trapani Airport is open to domestic and international civil traffic. The surface area in the Terminal, open to the public, is about 11,000 square metres and a runway with length of 2695 meters.

On the ground floor: check-in desks, lounges, luggage conveyors, access gates to the sterile area for PRM passengers. There are also a cafeteria, hospitality services, lounge for disabled passengers, car rental offices, the airport services desk, and first aid rooms.
 
On the first floor: the Departures area, VIP lounge, boarding gates for domestic and international flights and an area of 800 square metres for restaurants and shops.

Transportation to/from the airport
Train
Trapani airport is equidistant from the Trapani and Marsala railway stations. Trapani Station, connected to Palermo, Alcamo, Castellammare del Golfo and other cities, can be reached by bus from/to the airport.

Through the A29 motorway it is possible to reach the airport from the city of Palermo (distance approx. 90 km), from Catania through the A19 and the A29 (distance approx. 300 km) or from Agrigento via the highway and the A29 (distance approx. 168 km).

The taxi service at the airport is located in the area in front of the passenger exit on the Arrivals side.
