The Oslo Gardermoen Airport is Norway's main airport and is located near the town of Ullensaker in the county of Akershus and serves the capital of Oslo.
 
Oslo Airport was inaugurated in 1998 and in 2017 the works for the expansion of the airport were completed with a modern Pier (international and domestic, separated on 2 levels), a new airside and the reconstruction of the railway station Oslo Airport in the new Arrivals and Departures hall.
 
The airport has a main terminal with distinctive areas for flights to domestic and international destinations and serves as a hub for several Norwegian and international airlines. It also offers a wide range of services for passengers, including lounges, shops, restaurants, bars, and a large duty-free area.

Transport to/from Oslo airport
Train
The train takes about 20 minutes from the city centre (Sentralstasjon Station of Oslo) to the airport, and viceversa. 
 
  • Airport Express Train (Flytoget)
The Airport Express Train runs between Drammen, Asker, Sandvika, Lysaker, Skøyen, Nationaltheatret, Sentralstasjon Station of Oslo and Lillestrøm.
Departures from Oslo Airport every 10 minutes. Journey time about 20 minutes.
 
  • VY
All VY regional trains traveling between Skien, Oslo, Lillehammer and Trondheim stop at Oslo Airport. VY local trains on the Kongsberg - Eidsvoll line also stop at Oslo Airport.
 
Bus
  • Ruter
Ruter buses run to and from Oslo Airport and make a stops near the Airport.
 
  • Airport Express Coach (SAS Flybussen)
The Airport Express Coach runs between Oslo city centre and Oslo Airport every 20 minutes, all days.
 
Other bus connections to / from the airport and different cities such as Majorstuen, Bekkestua, Ski, Fredrikstad, Furuset, Tveita, Bøler, Skullerud, Abildsø, Lambertseter, Sundvollen, Hønefoss, Jevnaker, LunnerGjøvik, Skreia, Elverum and Trysil.
 
Car
From Oslo to the airport and vice versa: take the E16 for about 36 minutes.

Taxi
The taxi information desk is in the arrivals hall and offer information about the fixed rates of the different companies that operate out of Oslo Airport and can also book a taxi for the passengers. The taxi rank is immediately outside the arrivals hall. 
 
Car hire
At the airport it is possible to rent a car with the main car rental companies such as Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
