Codeshare between SAS and Aerolíneas Argentinas
SAS and Aerolíneas Argentinas have signed a new codeshare agreement to expand travel possibilities between Scandinavia and Argentina. The partnership, expected to start in the third quarter of 2026 subject to regulatory approval, will allow passengers to more easily combine the flights of the two airlines within the SkyTeam network.
With the new agreement, Aerolíneas Argentinas will place its AR code on SAS flights between Madrid, Rome and the Scandinavian capitals Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. SAS, in turn, will apply the SK code on Aerolíneas Argentinas' transatlantic connections between Buenos Aires, Madrid and Rome.
For Travellers from Northern Europe, the novelty means being able to reach Argentina with a single stopover, using Madrid or Rome as connection points to Buenos Aires. For Argentine passengers, the agreement opens up new travel options to Scandinavia and Northern Europe through the SAS network.
Codeshare will make it easier to organize the entire itinerary: passengers will be able to travel with a single ticket, check in once and check their baggage directly to their final destination. An important advantage especially for long-haul trips, where the continuity of the service reduces time and complexity in connections.
The collaboration also allows for the creation of special itineraries through the combined SkyTeam network, including the possibility of travel from Ushuaia, one of the southernmost commercial airports in the world, to Longyearbyen, in Svalbard, one of the northernmost airports served by commercial traffic.
As SkyTeam members, SAS and Aerolíneas Argentinas will also offer dedicated benefits to eligible customers, including SkyPriority services. Members of the EuroBonus and Aerolíneas Plus programs will also be able to earn and redeem points on the combined network of the two airlines.
