Emirates' story began in 1985, when it launched the first routes from Dubai with just two aircraft. Today, it flies with the world's largest fleets, offering the comfort of the most modern and efficient wide-body aircraft in service.
Emirates connects the world from its global hub in Dubai, offering thousands of flights a week. The network of destinations is constantly expanding all over the world. In addition, it makes use of partnerships with several airlines such as flydubai to offer additional codeshare flights.
On board it offers industry-leading entertainment, regionally inspired cuisine and first-class service with onboard lounges, new cabins and private First Class suites.
Emirates' fleet consists of new Airbus A380s, refurbished Boeing 777s and Executive for on-demand jet flights. By the end of 2025, it expects to receive five A350 aircraft destined for long-haul routes, configured with 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, 28 seats in Premium Economy and 238 seats in Economy Class with ample legroom.
The airline was awarded the "World Class Award" for safety, well-being, sustainability, service and inclusion at the APEX 2024 awards. Emirates has continued to earn further accolades such as the "5 Star Global Official Airline Rating" and "Passenger Choice Award for Best Global Entertainment". It has also won two accolades at the 2024 ULTRAs awards, including "Best Airline in the World" and "Best Airline in the Middle East" awards.
Emirates has been flying to Italy for over 30 years and connects Dubai to the cities of Rome, Milan, Venice and Bologna with direct flights from its international hub in Dubai, from which it reaches over 140 destinations worldwide. For example, from Dubai you can continue your journey with connecting flights to other international destinations in the Emirates network, such as Bangkok, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and other cities in Asia and the Indian Ocean.
