Emirates renews its lounges around the world

After Munich and Frankfurt, the new concept arrives in Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul by October 2026

Emirates has unveiled the new concept of its next-generation lounges, already operational in Munich and Frankfurt and coming in the coming months in Manchester (July), Mauritius (August) and Istanbul (October). The Dubai-based airline will invest more than AED 50 million for each facility, in a plan that redesigns the premium passenger experience on a global scale.

The new design transforms the aesthetics of the latest Emirates cabins into the airport spaces, with over 50 distinctive interventions: herringbone floors, marble, golden details and lighting that enhances the motif of the Ghaf Tree, the tree symbol of Emirati culture, reinterpreted as a backlit scenographic element.

What changes for travelers

For business passengers and frequent flyers, the new airport lounges introduce more private work areas alongside common areas designed for sociality and productivity: Italian faux leather armchairs, wireless charging and universal power outlets at every workstation. A wall dedicated to local artists and Rolex watches with international time zones completes the ambience.

On the gastronomic front, the lounges focus on live cooking, with à la minute cooking stations, hot and cold buffets renewed throughout the day and a "Made In" area dedicated to local specialties. There is also a handmade bread oven, pizzas and manakeeshs inspired by Dubai tradition, as well as a new barista bar with mixologists for cocktails, mocktails and quality coffee.

Relaxation areas include shower suites with spa finishes and VOYA sustainable products, separate prayer rooms for men and women with Qibla signage, a Quiet Zone for resting during layovers (with blankets, masks and earplugs) and private meeting and nursing spaces. All Emirates lounges are quiet environments, designed to ensure maximum comfort while waiting for your flight.

Emirates lounge network numbers

Emirates lounges are accessible free of charge to First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, even if travelling in Premium Economy or Economy. Paid access is also available.

The network has a total of 42 airport lounges worldwide, including 8 in Dubai and 34 distributed in major international airports, including London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Milan, Rome, New York (JFK Airport), Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney. In Terminal 3 of Dubai Airport (DXB) alone, the airline operates 8 lounges, of which 3 are reserved for First Class and 5 for Business Class.

For those planning an Emirates flight in the coming months, the new concept therefore represents a concrete evolution of the standard of ground reception, in line with the airline's strategy to strengthen the entire travel experience, from check-in to landing.
