Bologna Airport inaugurates the new Pet Area
Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport expands its passenger services with the inauguration of the new Pet Area, a space designed to improve the travel experience of those who travel with pets or assistance dogs. The initiative is part of the process of enhancing the quality of hospitality and attention to the needs of all Travellers.
A new pet-friendly area at Marconi
The new Pet Area is located outside the terminal, near the departures and check-in area, and is free and accessible 24 hours a day. The space covers an area of about 460 square meters, divided between green areas and paved areas, to ensure comfort and safety for animals before or after the flight. The area is equipped with a water fountain, litter bins and hygienic bag dispensers, as well as a shading structure with a modern design, designed to offer shelter in every season.
Accessibility and inclusivity
Particular attention has been paid to accessibility, with paths designed to be easily usable even by blind or visually impaired people. The new Pet Area welcomes both pets and guide dogs and assistance dogs, confirming the airport's commitment to an inclusive infrastructure model that is attentive to different mobility needs.
