More flights for cruise traffic at Genoa Airport
Among the novelties of the summer season at Genoa airport is a new inbound charter service operated by Austrian Airlines, dedicated exclusively to Costa Cruises guests from Austria.
From 2 May to 31 October 2026, the Vienna – Genoa connection will operate once a week (departure and return on Saturdays), for a total of 27 rotations and around 3,250 passengers. Travellers will embark on the Costa Smeralda from Savona for itineraries in the western Mediterranean.
The new flight joins the Düsseldorf – Genoa connection operated by Condor, already active since last season and also confirmed for 2026.
"The launch of new connections and the expansion of charter services related to cruise traffic confirm the growing strategic importance of Genoa City Airport in supporting the tourist and economic development of Liguria and in improving the connectivity of the region with Italy and Europe", commented Francesco D'Amico – General Manager of Genoa Airport.
