New Genoa - Frankfurt flight for Costa cruise passengers
From 28 March 2027, Genoa will be connected directly to Frankfurt with a new Discover Airlines flight. The route will be operated throughout the 2027 summer season with two weekly frequencies, on Saturdays and Sundays, on board Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats.
The new connection strengthens the international accessibility of Genoa Airport and offers Ligurian passengers a gateway to one of the main European hubs of the Lufthansa group. From Frankfurt it will be possible to continue to numerous destinations in Europe and around the world, thanks to the group's network of connections.
Discover Airlines, the leisure company of the Lufthansa group, thus expands its offer on the Italian market with a route designed both for incoming tourism to Genoa and Liguria, and for Travellers departing from the territory.
Tickets are already available on the discover-airlines.com and lufthansa.com websites, as well as at travel agencies. Costa Cruises will also offer Fly & Cruise packages that allow you to combine the flight with Costa Toscana cruises departing from Savona and Costa Fascinosa with boarding from Genoa.
The new route is the result of the collaboration between Discover Airlines, Genoa Airport and Costa Cruises. The objective is threefold: to increase international tourist flows to Liguria, to improve the connectivity of Colombo with the major European hubs and to respond to the demand of the German cruise market interested in Costa departures in the Western Mediterranean.
