SAS prepares a new lounge at Copenhagen Airport
SAS will open a new flagship lounge at Copenhagen Airport in June 2027, on the fourth floor of Terminal 3. The space will be approximately 40% larger than the current lounge and was created to offer passengers distinct environments to work, eat, relax, sleep or simply wait for their flight with greater comfort.
The new lounge will have an area of 3,700 square meters, 1,095 seats and a capacity of up to 4,000 visitors per day. Among the most relevant elements will be an Exclusive Zone dedicated to higher-end SAS customers, designed to offer greater privacy and a more private experience.
The spaces will be organized into different functional areas, including Eat & Drink, Social, Family, Focus, Relax, Silent Relax and Sleep. For those who have to work, 24 private work pods will be available, while those who need to rest will also be able to use hotel rooms inside the lounge.
The food & beverage proposal will play a central role, with a dedicated bar, SAS signature cocktails, bartender service and a bakery with fresh baked goods. The gastronomic offer will combine Scandinavian elements and international influences and will change throughout the day.
The project also includes more showers and toilets, plenty of natural light, high ceilings and a digital occupancy monitoring system to better manage flows at busy times.
The new lounge in Copenhagen will feature a Scandinavian-inspired design, with natural materials and the reuse of recycled SAS fabrics and some furnishings from the previous lounge at Copenhagen Airport (CPH). The opening is part of the wider renewal of the airline's premium experience, which also includes the return of European Business Class and the upgrade of partner lounges on the continent.
