New SAS lounges in Europe
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a major enhancement to its Business Class service, offering business travellers and premium customers an even more exclusive travel experience. By partnering with top-tier lounge operators, the airline is rapidly expanding access to 35 new lounges in key destinations, ensuring comfort, services and hospitality standards in line with the SkyTeam alliance's international best practices.
This initiative represents a long-term strategic step to strengthen the premium offering: by integrating an increasing number of lounges into the network, SAS creates a smoother travel journey, laying the foundations for further improvements to the overall passenger experience.
The first partner lounges will open from 1 October 2025, with additional destinations to be added progressively over the course of the autumn. Work is already underway to ensure access to destinations such as Aberdeen, Alicante, Barcelona, Bologna, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Edinburgh, Faro, Gran Canaria, Keflavik, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Milan Linate, Nice, Palma, Prague, Tallinn and Vilnius.
Some destinations are already ready, while others will follow during the autumn. The airports where SAS travellers will have access to the new lounges are:
Aalborg (AAL), Aberdeen (ABZ), Alicante (ALC), Barcelona (BCN), Bergen (BGO), Billund (BLL), Bologna (BLQ), Edinburgh (EDI), Faro (FAO), Gdansk (GDN), Gran Canaria (LPA), Helsinki (HEL), Keflavik (KEF), Madrid (MAD), Malaga (AGP), Manchester (MAN), Milan (LIN), Nice (NCE), Palma de Mallorca (PMI), Prague (PRG), Stavanger (SVG), Tallinn (TLL), Vilnius (VNO) and Wrocław (WRO).
"This is a complete upgrade of our Business Class, with lounge access as an essential element of the experience. We can offer our customers a much wider network of lounges in Europe and Scandinavia. The aim is to make around 35 new lounges available in operation all year round, and we already have agreements for cities such as Aalborg, Bergen, Billund, Helsinki and Stavanger," explains Theres Briger, Head of Onground Product at SAS.
