New business lounge for Vilnius Airport
Vilnius Airport continues its renovation process and is preparing to join the elite of international business lounges: starting in mid-2026, the new lounge will be operated by Swissport International Ltd., one of the world's leading airport service companies.
The eight-year agreement was signed with the Lithuanian subsidiary Swissport Aspire Lithuania, which will operate the future lounge in Vilnius under the prestigious Aspire brand, already present in airports such as London Heathrow, Copenhagen, Amsterdam Schiphol and Zurich, as well as in numerous other airports around the world.
Vilnius Airport, which is experiencing an important phase of modernization and expansion. With the reconstruction of the old terminals, the new business lounge will be built in a completely renovated area, double the size of the current one, and will offer a wide range of high-quality services creating a passenger experience aligned with the highest international standards expected by frequent flyers. The new business lounge will officially open in mid-2026, within the completely renovated spaces of the Vilnius Airport terminal.
A transformation made possible by the new departures terminal
The cooperation with Swissport is part of the airport's broader development and renovation plan. The opening of the new departures terminal has freed up significant space in the old building, now intended to improve passenger comfort, expand the commercial areas and accommodate the new business lounge.
The project includes several functional areas: areas dedicated to work, relaxation and catering, showers, a separate smoking room and a completely renovated children's area. The total area will double to 750 square meters, with a capacity of about 150 seats. The interior design will be handled by the Dutch studio D/DOCK, known for its projects of premium spaces in the airport sector.
A new management model
The operator of the lounge at Vilnius Airport is Swissport which introduces a new management model while, until now, the business lounge was managed directly by the airport staff. Headquartered in Switzerland, Swissport International Ltd. is a world leader in airport services, operating at over 280 airports worldwide and offering ground handling and cargo services. In the hospitality industry, the Aspire brand has been active for 35 years, with over 80 business lounges in 19 countries.
