UrbanV and Korea Airports Corporation together for an air mobility ecosystem
UrbanV, operator of the Italian vertiport network, and Korea Airports Corporation, operator of 14 national airports, sign an agreement to develop a network of vertiports for urban air transport
UrbanV and Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) are entering into a strategic collaboration that will involve several activities, including the creation of ecosystems and the exchange of technical, operational and regulatory knowledge. UrbanV's regulatory know-how, also gained through experience in defining the first Advanced Air Mobility-AAM legislation in Italy, and KAC's expertise in defining air corridors will be integrated to design, build and manage vertiport networks in a coordinated way.
KAC, with its experience in the aviation sector, is developing an internal vertiport system and preparing the infrastructure to support Advanced Air Mobility-AAM's first commercial operations in South Korea, with a focus on Jeju Island and the southern coastal region.

UrbanV and KAC aim to share data and best practices related to Urban Air Mobility-UAM operations, offering mutual access to their respective ecosystems. This support will be crucial for feasibility assessments and UAM analyses with key stakeholders, including aircraft operators, location owners, industry partners and regulatory bodies.
This collaboration between UrbanV and KAC represents a fundamental step in the launch of advanced air mobility: mutual learning and benchmarking between the two will be key elements to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operations in urban skies in the near future.
UrbanV
UrbanV is a subsidiary of Aeroporti di Roma, Aeroporti di Roma, SAVE Group, Aeroporto di Bologna and Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur, whose objective is the development of advanced air mobility (AAM) infrastructures at an international level. Initially, the vertiport network will include the founding partners' reference areas and may later be extended to other geographies. UrbanV aims to be among the first companies in the world to launch commercial advanced air mobility networks; the starting point will be Rome, where it plans to activate the first section in the coming years. UrbanV's mission is to bring air mobility to urban centers by designing and managing vertiports, the infrastructure for advanced air mobility. A new form of safe, sustainable and integrated mobility.
