New Volotea connections from Verona
Volotea strengthens its presence at Verona airport with a major network expansion for summer 2026. Four new international connections to Athens, Karpathos, Malaga and Menorca will be operational from the Verona base with a total of almost 24,000 seats on sale.
The first route to take off will be Malaga, from 1 August, with two weekly frequencies (Tuesday and Saturday). From 2 August , connections to Athens and Menorca will start, both operating on Thursdays and Sundays. From 5 August , the weekly Wednesday flight to Karpathos will be active.
21 destinations from Verona in 2026 - cancellation policy
With these changes, the number of routes operated by Volotea from Verona in 2026 rises to 21:
- 8 in Italy: Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Comiso (new in 2026), Lampedusa, Olbia, Palermo, Pantelleria
- 1 in Czech Republic: Prague
- 1 in Denmark: Aalborg
- 1 in France: Paris (Orly)
- 4 in Greece: Athens (new 2026), Heraklion, Karpathos (new 2026), Zakynthos
- 6 in Spain: Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Menorca (new 2026), Malaga (new 2026), Seville.
The new routes are in addition to the connection to Aalborg (from 30 April) and the reopening of Comiso (from 27 March). Overall, Volotea is putting over 830,000 seats on sale from Verona, with an 18% growth compared to 2025.
Third aircraft for the high season
To support the expansion, during the 2026 summer peak the airline will base a third aircraft in Verona. The choice will allow not only the launch of the new routes to Greece and Spain, but also the increase in frequencies on highly requested domestic connections such as Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Olbia and Palermo, strengthening connectivity between Northern Italy and the Islands.
10 years of operational base in Verona
2025 marked ten years since the opening of the Volotea base at Verona airport (2015). Last year, the airline carried nearly 654,000 passengers to and from the airport, operating around 4,000 flights.
The operating results show: Net Promoter Score above 58 points, the highest among the company's Italian bases; OTP15 (punctuality within 15 minutes) at 86%; Flight completion rate over 99%.
Numbers that confirm Verona as a key hub in the company's network and a reference point for international leisure traffic.
