New Rimini-Warsaw flight operated by Wizz Air
Wizz Air announces a new international route that will connect Rimini to Warsaw, strengthening connections between the Romagna Riviera and Poland. The new service facilitates the arrival of tourist flows and VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) to the Adriatic coast and expands travel options for those departing from Emilia-Romagna.
The connection stems from the collaboration with AIRiminum, the management company of Rimini's Federico Fellini Airport (RMI), and represents a further step in positioning the airport as a reference hub for Central and Eastern Europe.
The route connects two fascinating destinations: Rimini, known for seaside tourism but also a city of art and gateway to the Romagna hinterland and the Republic of San Marino; Warsaw, a dynamic metropolis that combines a UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, large green spaces and an active gastronomic and cultural scene, ideal for city-breaks and business trips.
The service will be operated four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). Tickets go on sale today on wizzair.com and on the official WIZZ app, starting at €24.99. The flights will be carried out with Airbus A321neo, new generation aircraft characterized by greater efficiency and comfort.
The opening of the Rimini-Warsaw route (Warsaw Modlin Airport - WMI) is part of a broader strengthening of the Wizz Air network at the Romagna airport, after the announcements to Budapest, Katowice and Sofia, and the consolidation of the historic route to Tirana.
Starting from 31 March 2026, the Rimini-Sofia route (three weekly frequencies) will take off, while from 8 June 2026 the Rimini-Katowice (two weekly flights) and Rimini-Budapest (three weekly flights) routes will be active.
2026 is expected to be a key year for the development of Rimini airport, also thanks to the abolition of the Municipal Tax by the Region, the candidacy of Rimini as the headquarters of Routes Europe 2026 and the presentation of the new Master Plan to ENAC.
Overall, Wizz Air continues to consolidate its presence in Italy: in the 2025 winter season, the company operates 267 routes, serves 32 countries and 26 Italian airports (with 5 bases: Catania, Milan, Naples, Rome and Venice), with 30 aircraft based and a completion rate of 99.8%, confirming its third carrier by market share in Italy.
