Wizz Air restores flights from Milan and Rome to Jeddah

Wizz Air restores direct connections from Italy to Jeddah, as part of the gradual resumption of routes to the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula scheduled for the 2026/2027 winter season.

The Milan Malpensa-Jeddah flight is operational from 6 September 2026 with 7 weekly frequencies, while the Rome Fiumicino-Jeddah flight restarts from 7 September with 4 flights per week. The fares indicated by the company start at €49.99 from Milan and €59.99 from Rome respectively and tickets are already available.

For Italian passengers, the return of the two connections from Malpensa (MXP) and Fiumicino (FCO) again expands direct access to the Saudi Red Sea coast and Jeddah, one of the country's main gateways, important for both tourism and religious travel to Mecca.

The routes are part of a wider plan with which Wizz Air plans to restore 12 connections and 49 weekly frequencies to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia during the winter season.

The company specified that the resumption of flights follows the update of the recommendations of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and further internal operational assessments. Connections will therefore continue to be monitored from an operational and safety point of view.
