Eurowings Premium Biz on medium-haul routes

At ITB 2026 in Berlin, Eurowings is announcing an important evolution of its on-board offering: the introduction of the Premium BIZ Seat on eight Airbus A320neo buses used on the most popular medium-haul routes, both business and leisure.

The company, Germany's largest dedicated to tourism, thus changes a consolidated standard in European aviation: instead of the traditional 2x3 configuration, the first two rows will be set up with a 2x2 layout, for a total of eight more spacious and comfortable premium seats.

More space on 3-6 hour routes

Eurowings operates the Airbus A320neo mainly on medium-haul connections with flight times of between three and six hours. After the inaugural flight in November 2025 on the Berlin–Dubai route and the subsequent test on a second aircraft, the company has received very positive feedback from passengers.

Travellers particularly appreciated: more personal space; more privacy in the front rows and improved on-board service.

In light of the strong demand, Eurowings has decided to extend the Premium BIZ Seat to other strategic routes, including business destinations such as London and high-demand premium leisure destinations such as Mallorca and the Canary Islands. Final network planning will be completed in the coming weeks, but it is already confirmed that all eight A320neos will be equipped with the new seats.

Renovated cabin and premium service

The new "Comodo" seat, made by the Italian manufacturer Geven, offers:

• adjustable footrest,
• USB ports for charging,
• pillow and blanket,
• Courtesy kit.

On-board service includes an aperitif, a hot meal served in porcelain and an expanded selection of drinks.

Eurowings' choice goes against the trend of many airlines that aim to maximize seat density: the declared goal is to invest in affordable comfort and quality of service, strengthening its positioning as a "value airline" for Europe.
