7 new Ryanair winter routes to Reggio Calabria
Second based aircraft and over 80 weekly flights to strengthen tourism and connectivity
Ryanair has announced the arrival of the second aircraft based in Reggio Calabria and the launch of 7 new winter routes, just six months after the opening of the base. This growth was made possible thanks to the decision of the Calabria Region to eliminate the municipal surcharge, allowing the company to increase operational capacity and enhance local tourism.
With a total investment of $200 million, Ryanair will operate 80 weekly flights on 13 routes, including new connections to Brussels, Frankfurt, Katowice, London, Milan, Paris and Pisa, offering passengers a wide range of destinations at competitive fares.
Fabrizio Francioni, Head of Communications Italy at Ryanair, highlighted the importance of expansion for the Reggio Calabria base and the support offered to the local economy. Marco Franchini, sole director of SACAL, underlined how the new aircraft strengthens connectivity and improves access to European destinations, promoting tourism and economic development in the region.
