Swiss launches new safety video
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) introduces a new concept of safety video, which combines the rigor of procedures with a visual story capable of conveying the essence of the country. After more than ten years of animation, the company chooses to entrust the on-board instructions to real people and spectacular scenarios, for an engaging and memorable informative experience. Passengers will thus receive all the necessary information in an exciting environment, enriched by an unmistakable touch of Swiss charm.
The film, conceived as a journey through Switzerland, takes passengers past Alpine peaks, sparkling lakes and iconic cities. The common thread is the story of a young woman who, in her home in New York, prepares to return to her homeland and recalls the memories of her previous stays: excursions in the Alps, road trips in postcard landscapes, visits to the two hub cities of SWISS, Zurich and Geneva.
In addition to authentic landscapes and faces, the video incorporates original graphics, icons and safety data sheets to ensure maximum clarity. The fundamental actions are also illustrated by the cabin crew in uniform, creating direct and effective communication. Aircraft-specific safety details are embedded in graphic format, making the footage compatible with the entire fleet.
The official debut is scheduled for early October on board Swiss's first Airbus A350, during the delivery flight from Toulouse to Zurich. During the winter, the new video will be progressively introduced on all short- and long-haul aircraft, enriching the travel experience with a story that combines precision, emotion and Swiss identity.
