SAS revolutionizes the in-flight menu

From 1 October 2025, "Flavors by SAS" debuts, the new gastronomic experience inspired by the cuisines of the world and designed to offer more variety, flexibility and sustainability

Scandinavian Airlines presents Flavors by SAS, the new Food & Beverage concept that redefines the gastronomic offer on board, with a more international, dynamic and attentive approach to the needs of the modern traveler. The launch is scheduled for 1 October 2025, coinciding with the introduction of the new European Business Class, and will gradually expand to lounges and intercontinental flights.

A natural evolution of the previous New Nordic by SAS program, active since 2017 and focused on Scandinavian cuisine in a contemporary way, Flavors by SAS expands the culinary horizon with inspired dishes from all over the world, curated presentations and menus that are frequently renewed, to ensure variety and freshness even for the most frequent travelers.

Global cuisine and tailor-made service

The new model provides multiple levels of service, calibrated according to the duration and type of flight, ranging from light basket solutions to complete meals with hot and cold dishes. Thanks to a flexible system, SAS will be able to combine menu items in a modular way, offering personalized and high-quality experiences.

In Business Class, the experience will be further enhanced by a refined service with reusable porcelain, double-walled cups, glass glasses and stainless steel cutlery, eliminating most single-use materials.

Attention to the environment

Flavors by SAS also integrates a strong sustainable component: reduction of food waste, local sourcing where possible and compostable or recyclable packaging. The introduction of porcelain tableware is just one example of SAS's commitment to a sustainable aviation model.
