Air Europa expands flights from Bologna and Alghero to Madrid

Air Europa strengthens its presence on the Italian market with the opening of two new seasonal routes to Madrid from Bologna and Alghero. The connections will be operational in July and August with three weekly frequencies for each route, operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Connections via Madrid to the Americas and Africa

Thanks to the new flights, passengers departing from Bologna and Alghero will be able to use the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) hub to continue to the airline's entire intercontinental network, including the main destinations in North, Central and South America and the new route to Johannesburg. Madrid thus confirms itself as a strategic hub for long-haul connections between Italy, Spain and non-European continents.

In the summer period, Air Europa will operate 62 weekly flights from Italy to Madrid, ensuring widespread coverage of the national territory.

More frequencies from Rome and Milan Malpensa

Starting from the beginning of June, the company will further increase operations from Italy, bringing connections from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa to three daily frequencies to Madrid.

Strengthening of the international summer network

At the same time, Air Europa is enhancing its seasonal offer to certain destinations in the Mediterranean and North Africa:

• Tangier: from 16 June, three weekly flights, up to five in August (operating until mid-September)
• Tunis: three weekly frequencies from the end of May to the end of September, five in July and August
• Marrakech: from the beginning of April with two weekly flights, up to five between July and August (operating until mid-October)
• Athens: from mid-June to mid-September with daily flight.

These routes are operated with the Boeing 737 fleet, resulting in greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
