ITA Airways: new website and simpler app to book
ITA Airways is renewing its digital offering with the launch of the new website and app, which are already available for passengers to download or update. Both channels were developed on the Lufthansa Group's technology platform for flight and service management.
For passengers, the new ecosystem makes it easier to manage the entire journey, from finding a flight to booking, from payment to additional services, up to consulting travel information and requesting any refunds. Through the app and website, it is also possible to easily view and modify existing ITA Airways bookings.
One of the central elements of the novelty is the harmonization of the digital experience with the other airlines of the Lufthansa Group, while maintaining the distinctive elements of the ITA Airways brand, its visual style and its look and feel. The goal is to offer customers a more fluid and consistent use between the different carriers of the group, without sacrificing the identity of the Italian company.
From an operational point of view, the new solutions also make it possible to combine ITA Airways flights with those of other Lufthansa Group airlines in a single booking, thus expanding travel possibilities and making it easier to organize itineraries.
The migration to the group's platform also allows ITA Airways to adopt digital solutions already recognized internationally, awarded in 2024 with the title of "Best Airline App".
The launch of the new digital services represents an important milestone in the integration process with the Lufthansa Group. The novelty is part of a collaboration that began in 2025, which led to the introduction of codeshare flights with access to more than 150 destinations, the collaboration between the Volare and Miles & More loyalty programmes and reciprocal access to airport lounges.
In the coming months, ITA Airways' digital offer will be further expanded. In addition to the already available Travel ID access, new services will be progressively added to the website and app, including the integration of Miles & More, automatic e-mail and push notifications, and a harmonised check-in system for all Lufthansa Group airlines.
