Cathay Pacific reopens The Bridge lounge in Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific reopens The Bridge, its iconic lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), which has been completely redesigned to offer passengers an even more refined and welcoming experience.
Strategically located near Gate 35 in Terminal 1, the lounge marks the first phase of a wider plan to renovate Cathay Pacific lounges in Hong Kong and other key destinations.

The reopening coincides with the start of renovation work on The Wing, First, which will close on May 23 to reopen in 2026, and will be followed by the renovation of The Wing, Business. During this period, The Deck will temporarily accommodate First Class customers, while The Pier, First Class and The Pier, Business Class will remain accessible.
The airline also announced the opening, over the next two years, of new flagship lounges in Hong Kong, Beijing and New York, part of a total investment of more than 100 billion Hong Kong dollars, intended for new lounges, aircraft, cabin products and digital innovations.
Design and atmosphere
The Bridge combines precious materials such as cherry wood, black granite, travertine and screens framed with selected plants, elegant furniture and original works of art from the "Gallery in the Skies" concept, to create a harmonious environment with a residential touch.
Innovative hospitality
The lounge is the first in the Cathay Pacific network to introduce biometric check-in, alongside the traditional check-in desk, to simplify and speed up customer access.
Experiences
The lounge is divided into two main areas:
- Left side: home to the iconic Noodle Bar, which features classic dishes like wonton noodles, dan dan noodles, and dim sum, along with a menu enriched with new Chinese specialties like biangbiang mian, braised beef shank with cauliflower, vibrant salads, and desserts. Also making its debut here is The Nook, a new gastronomic concept that expands the offer with light and tasty regional dishes, such as stuffed bao, spring onion pancakes and steamed rice rolls, also served via a characteristic Hong Kong-style dim sum trolley.
- Right Side: dedicated to First Class customers and Cathay Diamond members, it offers an exclusive and discreet environment, supervised by Cathay staff. Here you will also find the Food Hall, with open ovens and an international menu that includes stews such as Burgundian beef, Provençal vegetables, fresh pastries, salads and desserts.
The panoramic bar completes the experience with freshly prepared cocktails, coffee, champagne and other drinks served by expert bartenders, while the Solo Chairs offer an intimate and personalized relaxation corner for those seeking comfort and privacy. A new exclusive stay before your flight with Cathay Pacific.
