Turin Airport: Wizz Air's routes to Budapest and Sofia inaugurated
The new Wizz Air flights from Turin to Budapest and Sofia, two European capitals full of charm, culture and history, kick off today. The opening of connections marks a further step in the expansion of the airline's network – the main low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe – and strengthens Turin airport's international connectivity to Eastern Europe.
The Hungarian capital Budapest is an ideal destination for a city break between art, wellness and entertainment. The famous thermal baths, the neo-Gothic architecture of the Parliament, the banks of the Danube and the lively nightlife make the city a complete destination and increasingly loved by European Travellers.
The new route to Sofia, on the other hand, opens a direct connection between Piedmont and the Bulgarian capital for the first time. Surrounded by the mountains of the Vitosha massif, the city combines history and nature, including Orthodox churches, Roman ruins and an authentic atmosphere. Sofia is also the ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Bulgaria, from the Seven Rila Lakes to ancient Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe.
