New Cagliari-Copenhagen route
In the summer, SAS Scandinavian Airlines arrives at Cagliari Airport, expanding the network of the main Sardinian airport
Cagliari Airport expands its international network and enriches the airline portfolio with the arrival, in summer 2025, of SAS Scandinavian Airlines. The Scandinavian flag carrier will inaugurate a new direct route between Cagliari and Copenhagen, strengthening connections between Southern Sardinia and Northern Europe.
Thanks to this flight, Cagliari opens up as a privileged destination for travelers from Scandinavia, attracted by the wonderful Sardinian beaches, crystal clear waters and millenary cultural traditions of the island. Sardinia, with its Mediterranean climate, excellent gastronomy and authentic hospitality, is confirmed as a perfect destination even for the most demanding travelers, such as Danish tourists, notoriously great fans of food and local culture.

The new route represents not only an opportunity for Nordic visitors, but also for Sardinians, who will have the opportunity to discover the lively Danish capital. Copenhagen, known for its high quality of life, is a cutting-edge city, characterized by green spaces, modern and sustainable architecture, efficient services and a developed tourist vocation.
The new route opens up interesting prospects not only on the tourism front, but also for the development of commercial exchanges. As explained by Fabio Mereu, CEO of the management company of the Cagliari airport, with the launch of this connection, a window opens on a new and promising market, capable of generating growth in both the tourism and business sectors. Thanks to SAS's vast international network, Sardinian travelers will be able to stop in Copenhagen and easily reach one of the many intercontinental destinations served by the company.
