New Bari-New York flight with United Airlines
Aeroporti di Puglia announces that from 1 May 2026 the United Airlines company will inaugurate the new direct connection between Bari and New York (Newark-Liberty EWR airport), operating four times a week.
The flight will depart Bari every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 09:45, arriving in New York at 14:00 (local time). The return from Newark is scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 4:45 pm, arriving in Bari at 7:45 am the following day.
United will be the only U.S. airline to operate a direct flight between Puglia and the United States. The service will be operated by Boeing 767-300ER and will offer passengers convenient and fast access to the region, renowned for its historic villages, beaches and the iconic trulli of Alberobello.
Thanks to its strategic position and one of the most important ports on the Adriatic Sea, Bari is also an ideal starting point for reaching Greece, Croatia and Albania by sea.
"This is news of extraordinary importance," said Antonio Maria Vasile, President of Aeroporti di Puglia, specifying how the arrival of a giant like United Airlines confirms the solidity of the Apulian market and opens up new opportunities for tourism and the local economy. Puglia is now an international destination and the new flight consolidates Aeroporti di Puglia's strategy aimed at developing intercontinental connections and strengthening relations with overseas markets.
