Investments for Verona Airport
Agreement between ENAC and Valerio Catullo for infrastructure investments and development of the airport until 2027
ENAC and the Valerio Catullo Company of Verona Villafranca have signed the 2024-2027 Program Contract for Verona Airport, outlining a strategic plan for the strengthening of infrastructure and the improvement of airport services. The Programme Contract guarantees sustainable investment planning, ensuring high standards of safety, energy efficiency and compliance with European standards.
130 million in investments for the future of the airport
In the period 2024-2027, the Verona airport development plan provides for investments of over 130 million euros, intended for interventions in airside and landside areas .
- Airside: redevelopment of flight infrastructure, with maintenance of the flooring and installation of advanced power systems for aircraft (400 Hz on the parking stands);
- Landside: expansion and modernization of the passenger terminal, with new commercial areas and a more efficient baggage handling system;
- investments in the security sector, to comply with the latest regulatory and operational standards.
Verona Airport, part of the North East Airport Hub managed by the SAVE Group, confirms itself as a strategic hub for national and international mobility. The agreement, signed by ENAC's Acting Director General, Fabio Nicolai, and the CEO of the management company Alessandra Bonetti, represents a fundamental step for the relaunch and growth of the Verona airport. The President of ENAC, Pierluigi Di Palma, underlined the importance of the agreement in the context of the country's economic and infrastructural development strategies.
