Wizz Air expands its offer from Venice
Increased frequencies, new destinations and over 500,000 additional seats to strengthen the presence in Italy
Wizz Air has announced the introduction of five new routes from Venice for summer 2025. Connections will be to Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Sharm el Sheik and Budapest, thanks to the arrival of a new Airbus A321neo that will bring the number of aircraft based in Venice to two.
The new routes will start from March 2025, with daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona and three times a week to other destinations. The existing route to Chisinau will be enhanced with an additional weekly flight. Overall, the offer for 2025 will exceed 500,000 seats, marking an increase of 78% compared to the previous year.
This expansion consolidates Wizz Air's position as the second low-cost airline at Marco Polo Airport, with a 10% market share. The use of modern and efficient aircraft, such as the Airbus A321neo, reflects the company's commitment to sustainable growth, both environmentally and economically.
