A Boeing 737-900 UR-PSL, based at Katowice Airport and flights also from Warsaw, Krakow, Rzeszow
In early July, Ukraine International Airlines began charter flights on the order of the tour operator ITAKA (Poland). Thus, the Ukrainian airline has joined the service of European tourist traffic and continues its operational work outside Ukraine during the war.
The charter program involves the Boeing 737-900 UR-PSL, which will be based at Katowice Airport and serviced by 4 UIA crews. As part of cooperation with ITAKA, UIA plans daily flights both from the base airport and other Polish cities (Warsaw, Krakow, Rzeszow). The aircraft of Ukraine International Airlines will provide service to a number of European tourist destinations. In particular, the following charter flights were agreed in July:
- From Katowice to: Malaga, Arrecife, Antalya, Tenerife, Tirana, Las Palmas, Marsa Alam, Djerba
- From Warsaw to: Arrecife
- From Rzeszow to: Antalya
- From Krakow to: Tirana.
Currently, partners are analyzing the possibilities of expanding the network of charter destinations with an extension until the end of the high tourist season. The Ukrainian airline, Ukraine International Airlines, as a long-term IOSA certified operator, will ensure operation in accordance with all international operational safety standards.
