Singapore Airlines strengthens Europe: more flights to Milan and new route to Madrid

Singapore Airlines is expanding its offer in Europe with a progressive increase in connections to Milan, Manchester, Munich and London (Gatwick) and with the opening of a new route to Madrid, operated via Barcelona from 26 October 2026, subject to approval by the competent authorities. The aim is to respond to the strong demand for travel between Europe and Singapore and offer passengers more possibilities to connect through the airline's Asian hub.

For the Italian market, the main news concerns Milan, where Singapore Airlines flights between Milan Malpensa and Singapore will increase from the current four weekly connections to a daily frequency from 25 October 2026. The three additional flights will replace the current Singapore-Milan-Barcelona connections, thus increasing the availability of seats on the direct route between Milan and Singapore.

The new schedule includes flight SQ356 Singapore-Milan every day departing Singapore at 00:05 and arriving in Milan at 06:50. In the opposite direction, flight SQ355 Milan-Singapore will depart Milan at 12:35 and arrive in Singapore at 07:30 the following day. The connections will be operated with Airbus A350-900 long-haul.

The increase in frequencies to Milan strengthens Malpensa's role in connections to Asia and offers Italian passengers more options to reach Singapore and continue to destinations served by Singapore Airlines' network in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Asia-Pacific area.

On the European front, the company will also introduce new flights to Madrid, which will become Singapore Airlines' fifteenth destination in Europe and the second in Spain. The connection will be operated five times a week on the Singapore-Barcelona-Madrid route with Airbus A350-900 long-haul with 253 seats.

Flights to the United Kingdom are also increasing: from 13 July 2026 the Singapore-Manchester route will become daily, while from 25 October 2026 Singapore Airlines will also make the connection with London Gatwick daily, bringing the total offer to London up to six flights a day, also considering the four daily services on London Heathrow.

Finally, in Germany, a new Singapore-Munich connection will be introduced three times a week from 26 October 2026, which will be added to the current daily flights and will increase the weekly frequencies to the Bavarian city to ten.

Singapore Airlines thus consolidates its presence on the European market and expands travel possibilities for those traveling for tourism, business or intercontinental connections, making the Singapore hub more accessible from some of the main European cities.
