airBaltic opens Turin-Riga route

From 30 January 2027, the direct connection from Turin Airport to the Latvian capital will start with a weekly frequency every Saturday, in addition to Vilnius already operated by the company

Turin Airport and airBaltic announce the new direct flight between Turin and Riga, which will connect Piedmont to the capital of Latvia with a scheduled flight operated by the Latvian airline. The Turin-Riga route will be active from 30 January 2027 with a weekly frequency every Saturday. Tickets are already available for purchase.

The new connection responds in particular to the demand for winter tourism from the Baltic countries to Piedmont. The route will in fact facilitate the arrival of skiers and Travellers interested in ski holidays in the Western Alps, making access to the mountain resorts in the area more direct.

At the same time, the flight also offers new opportunities to passengers departing from Piedmont and the North-West, who will be able to reach Riga, one of the most interesting capitals of Northern Europe. The city is known for its historic center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for its Art Nouveau architecture and for the famous Central Market, one of the most representative places of city life.

Thanks to the airBaltic network, Riga also becomes a connection point to several northern European destinations. Passengers will be able to continue, for example, to Bergen, Gothenburg, Oslo, Trondheim, Reykjavik and some Finnish cities such as Oulu, Tampere and Turku, expanding the possibilities of travel from Piedmont to Northern Europe.

The new flight to Riga joins the connection already operated by airBaltic between Turin and Vilnius, Lithuania, which will restart in the next winter season from 19 December 2026, always with a weekly frequency on Saturdays.
