Lufthansa Group and Air India expand partnership
Air India, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss passengers can fly to 15 cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai or Bengaluru with connections to Kathmandu, Melbourne and Sydney
Air India and Lufthansa Group are strengthening their collaboration, increasing the number of codeshare flights to almost 100 between the Indian subcontinent, Europe, Australia and the Americas. The agreement provides:
► New codeshare between Air India and Austrian Airlines, adding 26 new routes.
► Expansion of existing agreements with Lufthansa and SWISS, for wider connectivity.
► More than 60 new routes to 12 Indian cities and 26 European destinations, enhancing travel options for passengers.

More connections and benefits for travelers
Lufthansa Group customers will now be able to fly with Air India to 15 cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru, and connect to Kathmandu, Melbourne and Sydney.
From Europe, Air India travellers will be able to access 26 new destinations with Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines flights, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Stockholm and Washington D.C.
Frequent flyer benefits
As a Star Alliance member, passengers will be able to continue to earn and redeem miles with Air India and Lufthansa Group loyalty programs, as well as benefit from priority boarding, extra baggage and access to airport lounges around the world.
