Signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate cryptocurrency payments starting from 2025

Emirates has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com to evaluate the integration of the Crypto.com Pay platform among the payment options offered to passengers. The official introduction of the new system is scheduled for 2025, maintaining the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance.

In addition to the possible integration of cryptocurrency flight payment, the two companies will explore joint marketing opportunities to promote the new solution and stimulate its adoption among travellers.

This partnership is part of a strategic context: Dubai aims to strengthen its role as a global cryptocurrency hub, supported by an advanced ecosystem and sophisticated regulation that fosters innovation, while protecting investors and financial stability. More and more local companies (from real estate developers to large telecom operators) are already adopting cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.
